Title: Vocabulary Jenga

I feel like a lot of times we ask students to learn vocabulary, it's a list given and then used sparsely through a few activities, until they are given a new vocabulary list, only to be asked to "rinse, and repeat" the process.

To make it more relevant, you would need to make the students use the vocabulary more often, and part of an ongoing process.
I am thinking of an activity where the students would be given a text to read, and be asked that when they go through it that they look for any/all the words they don't understand. They would then be tasked with looking up the definitions of those words, making sure they fully understand them in other contexts.
Then and having to recreate a story using as much of the vocab they collected as they could.
