Title: Beginner Level Young Learner Mini Books
Post by: swelsch on May 02, 2020, 05:15:26 PM
Here's a website that lets you print out and use pre-made stories to create mini books. https://www.dltk-teach.com/minibooks/summer/index.htm (https://www.dltk-teach.com/minibooks/summer/index.htm) It seems that the stories are pretty beginner level targeted towards younger learners. They have categories for different letters of the alphabet and even themes, such as seasons and holidays. They even have worksheets and flashcards that can be printed and paired with each mini book. You can even print them in color or in black and white so students can color them themselves. This would be a fun and cute idea for younger readers as a little activity during class. I know children love crafts and using this will allow them to have fun and maybe gain some enjoyment for reading, since they will have a part in putting together their own book.
