US Jobs Vocabulary
« on: April 21, 2015, 04:00:33 PM »
I thought I would share a list I compiled of vocabulary to integrate into a lesson on employment in the US. This includes common job titles, as well as ideas like benefits, full-time, salary, hourly wage, and so on. It also includes vocabulary related to the job application process, such as resume, applicant, fill-out, etc.

This vocabulary could be useful for a survival ESL class for adults or older students who may be looking for a job or entering the workplace:

Additionally, here is a list of vocabulary of skills for jobs. This could be useful for a more advanced lesson on job interviews.
