a fun freewriting activity
« on: February 28, 2006, 08:12:09 PM »
Here's a mock public-hearing activity that I used for a freewriting lesson. I first introduced the concept of freewriting with an sample (file #1), and then did the follow-up activity (file #2). More detailed procedure of the activity is included on the handout that I'm attchaching. I used this activity for both undergraduate and graduate classes, and it worked pretty well with both groups. (You could also choose to use this as a preliminary activity for an argumentative writing unit.)
