This is a great website with great ideas. However, I noticed that most of the activities belong to the during- or post-reading category. I'm wondering except for giving students some questions to think about before they read a story, what are some other activities can be done in class? I remember in our L1 reading class, the teacher used to ask us to focus on different characters before we started reading, mainly the characters' appearance, personality, and the actions they got engaged in. Then after reading the whole story, we wrote a play based on the reading (we created the conversations for our own characters) and we acted out the whole story.
