post-reading activities

I think post-reading is more about comprehension than reading strategies. I might want to see students' comprehension and reflection after reading. Therefore, I think post-reading stage might be a good time to integrate writing. I might want to give students writing assignment according to the genre and content of the article they read. I want students to ask questions and to talk about how they understood the article or book.

Another idea is about painting. Sometimes we could read of very good description of environment, setting, people and other objects. I would choose several paragraphs and ask students to paint accordingly. Students are supposed to include as many details as possible in their paintings. This might be a good way to see their comprehension of the content and their knowledge of some vocabulary words.
