Flows of Reading
« on: May 01, 2018, 07:16:50 PM »

This link leads to a webpage talking about "flows of reading." The term might sound a little too artistic but there are a lot of terms that can be very practical for reading teachers. I especially like the sections where the author explain motives of reading and the interaction between reading and cultural norms. It offers supplemental activities and videos to help the audience to find the identity as a reader or to focus on certain language. Maybe this would not be the best material for lower level ESL students, but I can see it can be a good tool for teachers to understand reading in a somewhat different perspective or it can be a guide for higher level students in an extensive reading class or a literature class.
