2 assignments

While searching for worksheets that would go well as assignments when learning about fairy tales I came across this one. It is definitely geared towards a younger audience of learners, which is not a bad thing, but I think it could be easily reworked and adapted for an older group of students. I think the questions asked are good ones and pretty thought provoking and require the students to really think about the fairytales they have previously read as well as their own ideas and perspectives on good v evil. This would be a great stand alone activity or apart of a longer lesson where students can discuss their ideas more and pursue a more intensive activity afterwards.
This one unfortunately is not a free resource but it was created by another teacher so paying for it would not be so bad as you’re helping a fellow teacher. From the previews of the activity I think it would be a great assignment for intermediate learners who have had a fair amount of practice and history with writing in English. By creating writing in all three styles (narrative, reflective, argumentative) it really forces the learner to diversify their writing style and perhaps create new thoughts and ideas about the fairytales in question or even topics related to them. This would be a great ending assignment to a unit in my opinion.
