An original fable worksheet
« on: April 20, 2021, 01:35:36 PM »
After reading fables focused on the particular theme of greed, we discussed morals and how they pertain to fables. We assigned three fables: The Dog and His Reflection, Rumpelstiltskin, and Three Billy Goats Gruff. After reading the three stories, completing individualized assignments to each story, and facilitating class discussion, we wanted to test student knowledge on the stories. Therefore, we created this homework assignment to connect the three stories. This assignment will insure that students were paying close attention to the three stories, and it will be a visual representation of how they correlate to each other. The assignment can be modified for different stories, and the instructions can be elaborated if there is less class discussion before hand. Our directions are simple because each story already received a full day of instruction. For example, if you assign the readings for homework and want to use this activity as an in-class worksheet, you may need a corresponding lesson or review to confirm that students understand the three readings and their morals. The worksheet is attached to this post.
